I’m sure we’ve all gotten this before, but I gotta say:
When out of the blue I get a letter or an email requesting money for some race that a friend is running, biking, walking, whatevering in order to raise money for cancer, aids, diabetes, whatever, I only have 2 thoughts.
- I think it’s fantastic that you’re choosing to raise money for such a noble cause, but if you want to raise money, why are you being so uncreative as to write an email to all of your “friends” when you could throw a party, hold a contest, save your own coffee money for a couple months, etc.
- If you haven’t returned an email I’ve sent you in months, then chances are pretty high that I won’t have the time to return your request for dinero.
